Jean-Claude Biver, the Chairman of luxury watch brand Hublot and leading figure in the sports sponsorship industry, is the latest senior executive to be confirmed to speak in front of an expert audience of 350 global marketing, sponsorship and brand directors at Leaders in Sponsorship, taking place at Chelsea FC on 10th and 11th October 2012.
Biver joined Hublot as CEO and became a minority share-holder in 2004. Under his leadership, the company achieved a five-fold increase in sales between 2004 and 2007, leading to its acquisition by LMVH in 2008, and signed sponsorship deals with, amongst others, Manchester United, UEFA, Formula 1, FIFA World Cup, FIS Nordic World Ski Championships, Mexican Football Federation, America’s Cup, Flamengo FC and AFC Ajax.
Throughout, Hublot have forged a reputation for activations that go beyond branding and logos. As a UEFA partner, they stood out by giving all their signage to a non-profit organisation working to abolish racism in the game, and their new five-year partnership with Ferrari F1 includes collaboration in developing leading-edge technologies and materials.
