Kevin Roberts, worldwide Chief Executive Officer of one the world’s most creative organisations Saatchi & Saatchi, as well as former Board Member of New Zealand Rugby and current Chairman USA Rugby, is the newest addition to an impressive line-up at Leaders in Sponsorship held at Chelsea FC, on 10th and 11th October 2012.

Kevin has an incredible business and marketing pedigree having launched products, led brand campaigns and run country operations at the world’s biggest brands such as P&G, Pepsi Cola and Gillette. In 1997 he joined Saatchi & Saatchi as worldwide Chief Executive Officer with the agency experiencing a lack of direction, low morale and underperformance. Roberts was advised to restructure the business drastically by bringing in his own people and moving on those currently in the business. Instead, Roberts didn’t bring in or move on anybody for two years and, against conventional thinking and all odds, turned the business around to create one of the world’s leading advertising agencies.

Kevin has an international reputation for an uncompromisingly positive, inspirational leadership style, and an extraordinary ability to generate ideas and emotional connections that accelerate value. He’s the inaugural CEO in Residence at Cambridge University’s Judge Business School, an Honorary Professor at the University of Auckland and an Honorary Professor of Creative Leadership at Lancaster University. He is co-author of Peak Performance: Business Lessons from the World’s Top Sporting Organizations and in 2004 wrote Lovemarks: The Future Beyond Brands, a ground-breaking business book published in 18 languages. Kevin is also a Trustee of the Turn Your Life Around Trust, an Auckland charity that mentors at-risk teenagers, and is a Sponsor Governor of Lancaster Royal Grammar School in the UK.
