UniCredit’s Penna banking on sponsorship lessons at Leaders in Sponsorship

Daniele Penna, Head of Group Sport Sponsoring, Brand Management, Group Identity & Communications at UniCredit, is the latest of many big name speakers to be announced for the third Leaders in Sponsorship, taking place on the 5th October 2011 at Chelsea FC.

Penna joins the Chris Katsuleres, Director, Olympic Marketing at GE to examine the reasons for sponsoring premium global properties like the UEFA Champions League and what trends are taking place in the future.

Penna joined UniCredit in 2007 as a member of the Brand Management and Change unit, and was instrumental in the rebranding of Capitalia Banking Group following its merger with UniCredit earlier that year. Before joining UniCreditPenna spent two years at Capitalia where, amongst other projects, he worked on the Bank’s sponsorship of the 32nd America’s Cup.

Pennaand Katsuleres joins other world class speakers already announced including Chris Parsons, VP of International, NFL; fellow panellist Billy Wright, Global Sponsorship Director, Nokia; Paddy Power, Communications Director, Paddy Power; John Constantinou, Head of Global Sponsorships and Partnerships, Orange and KeldStrudahl, Marketing Director; Carlsberg.
